PARENT CONSULTATIONS

For College-Aged & Adult Children

Your child is in therapy, growing up, figuring it out. But you’re still… worried. Unsure. Sometimes helpless. You want to support them—but not enable them. You want to hold boundaries—but not push them away. You want them to fly—but not fall apart.

Parenting doesn’t end when your kid turns 18. But it does shift. And no one really tells you how. This is where we come in.

What These Consultations Are For:

  • Understanding what’s developmentally appropriate (vs. what feels personally triggering)

  • Learning how to emotionally support your adult child without becoming their therapist

  • Navigating boundaries around finances, communication, decision-making, and independence

  • Exploring your own fears, guilt, or over-functioning tendencies

  • Supporting a child who’s in therapy, in crisis, or in the middle of a major life transition

  • Processing your role as a parent now—who you are to them, and who you’re becoming

What to Expect:

These are one-on-one sessions with Dr. Melissa Gluck—licensed psychologist and founder of Gluck psychology collective—to support you in navigating this new stage of parenting.

We’ll explore patterns, questions, and emotions that are coming up for you—while also equipping you with practical strategies to stay grounded, compassionate, and clear in your relationship.

You don’t need to be in a crisis to seek support. You just need to want something better—for them and for you.

“How do I help without enabling?”

“What’s an appropriate boundary at this stage?”

“I’m doing more emotional labor than they are—how do I shift that?”

“How do I let them struggle without stepping in?”

“How do I support their therapy without making it about me?”

“How do I process the grief of not being needed in the same way?”

You’re allowed to seek support, too.

This isn’t about “fixing” your child—it’s about understanding your role as a parent so that you can have a healthy relationship with them.

Let’s help you feel more grounded, intentional, and supported on this journey..
