Hi, I’m Emma.

I’m so glad to begin this work with you. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel deeply seen, safe, and supported. That it’s a weekly pause from everything else, devoted entirely to you. This is where you get to bring whatever’s been weighing on you, whether it feels huge or seems “too small” to matter (spoiler: it always matters).

Together, we’ll:

  • Explore your story from the earliest chapters to the moments leading up to session

  • Practice new ways of showing up in your life (like setting boundaries or expressing needs) in a space where it’s safe to try them out

  • Gently make sense of patterns, emotions, and dynamics that may have felt overwhelming to navigate on your own

My Approach

My approach is always tailored to each person I work with. At its core, it’s grounded in psychodynamic therapy- an approach that helps us slow down, look beneath the surface, and trace the threads that connect your past experiences to your present patterns. Together, we’ll gently explore how your early relationships, emotions, and protective strategies have shaped the way you move through the world today.

My background includes a master’s in literature, and that part of me deeply informs how I work. I believe that your life holds a story: one that’s layered, evolving, and often more nuanced than the version you’ve been telling yourself. Through a narrative lens, we’ll notice the quiet details, identify the themes that run through your experiences, and create space for new chapters to emerge.

I see therapy not just as a place to “fix” problems, but as a collaborative space to understand your story more fully- to make meaning, build self-compassion, and give language to the parts of you that haven’t always had a voice.

What Working With Me Feels Like

I’m an engaged, collaborative therapist—not someone who just nods and takes notes. I show up fully in the work with you, whether we’re:

  • Sitting with difficult emotions

  • Exploring what feels stuck

  • Practicing tools to help you feel more grounded and supported

Building trust and safety is at the heart of how I approach therapy. I always move at a pace that feels attuned to your needs—not rushed, never forced.

You can expect:

  • Thoughtful reflections and curious questions to help you connect the dots

  • A space where all parts of you are welcome—your thoughts, your emotions, your intuition

  • Occasional use of mindfulness, grounding techniques, and breathwork, when it feels supportive to bring your body into the process

Our sessions aren’t about performance or perfection. They’re about showing up—messy, curious, honest—and discovering what’s possible when you don’t have to carry it all alone.
